CTICH laboratory has a double purpose: analytic service to compost yards and analytic tests for researching projects.

The lab is divided in the following areas:

• Chemical and physical analytics area: raw materials and compost analysis, samples preparation (distiller, digesters, scales, fiber extractor, microwave digester, miller, heaters, etc). It is equipped with an Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR), for which the center has developed all calibration models, and its been used to analyze chicken manure and mushroom substrate.
• Spectroscopy area: for researching activities. Equipped with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, UV Spectrophotometer and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• Microbiology area: DNA sequencing (MiSeq system) Laminar flow cabinet, Heaters, Microscope and Stereoscopic glass.

Specific equipment

Rioja´s Government, thought its Agricultural Department, has provided CTICH, updating with new equipment for its mushroom researching activities.

The equipment is: Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR), Nitrogen distiller, DNA sequencing, microscope and Stereoscopic microscope, Bioreactor and samples concentrator machine

This equipment has been financially supported at 50% by “Programa Operativo FEDER de La Rioja 2014-2020”.
