Abstract: During the last years, oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) crops have been affected by a degenerative disease that produces large losses and that disease increases year after year. This pathology does not correspond to any of the known diseases that normally affect the mushrooms crops and occurs without fixed parameters: different growers, different crops, different times of the year, different raw materials, etc.

Through collaboration among the associates, the main objective of this project is the characterization of this pathology and the mechanisms of infection as well as the establishment of the effect in crops and the possible prevention of infection.
